Some of the very best original Christmas stories and features on My Merry Christmas have come from similar events in the past. We invite writers and aspiring writers of all ages to submit their best stories and memories of Christmas.
Outstanding features such as My Little Lie, Ryan’s Prayer, The Angel Twin and Old Man Kramer came to MMC as a result of contests such as this.

In offering this contest, which is now an annual tradition here on MMC, we do so to honor a beloved member of our community known to all of us as Caninemom3. She was Louann Jeffries and we lost this dear friend in 2013.
Louann was a daily visitor to MMC, a friend to all who frequented the Merry Forums, a lovable Christmas fanatic and an aspiring writer who worked very hard over the years to improve her skills. She kept a blog here on MMC and published articles on many sites of the Merry Network. She had returned to a local college to take writing courses and reached out to other writers in an effort to grow her knowledge and expand her writing abilities. We’re thrilled to remember Louann with this contest.
